When Dr. Jon Harrell discusses options with his Miami-area patients, his foremost concern is what’s right for them. If you’re considering a breast augmentation, one of the questions he’ll try to answer is whether a breast lift might better address your concerns.
Both procedures are designed to help you achieve more shapely, attractive breasts, but they achieve these goals in different ways. A breast lift is primarily designed to address significant sagging issues.
If you’re largely satisfied with the size of your breasts but are also dissatisfied with apparently severe sagging, a breast lift might be the right choice for you. Dr. Harrell will, of course, thoroughly evaluate your needs to determine if the breast lift procedure is the proper course of action.
By contrast, a breast augmentation is about enhancing the size and shape of your breasts. It can address mild sagging issues, but that’s not it’s primary purpose. As a result, you’re probably a candidate for a breast augmentation if you’re looking for larger, more shapely breasts.
Of course, in some circumstances it might be appropriate to combine the procedures and give you the advantages of both. A breast lift combined with breast implants will address multiple cosmetic concerns, and enlarge your breasts while eliminating sagging.
