If you’re a Fort Lauderdale patient considering liposuction, you’re probably concerned about the recovery process. At The Weston Center for Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery, we know that our patients have busy schedules.
Every patient is unique, and your recovery time will depend on the extent of your liposuction and your body’s natural healing powers. However, most patients are able to return to work within a week of undergoing a procedure.
Dr. Jon Harrell will provide you with a more specific timeline and recovery instructions before you undergo your liposuction. However, you can expect to wear a compression garment for a few days after your procedure. There will be some lingering soreness and tenderness for several days.
Swelling is a concern for many of our Fort Lauderdale patients considering liposuction. In many patients, swelling begin to subside within about a week and gradually lessens over the course of a few months.
Finally, you can expect to be able to begin a non-strenuous workout routine about two weeks after your liposuction. Most patients are back to their full, normal, everyday routine four to six weeks after the procedure.
We’ll be happy to answer any questions about liposuction you might have.
